More about Counseling

When would you need Counseling?

Counseling is for those who feel distressed, frustrated, or are unable to cope well with life barriers. Each weekly one hour session takes the form of a dialogue that allows you to safely express your deepest thoughts and feelings (things you normally wouldn’t share with others). You get to reflect on and explore your concerns with a professional who is objective and non-judgmental. Counseling facilitates considering many options to move forward by resolving past issues and dealing with current hardships. You will find that your choices to deal with any adversity expand. You will be better equipped with a diversity of tools to work things out.

Through counseling, you can overcome many challenges ranging from (but not limited only to): coping with stressors, dealing with loss, emotional problems, relationship issues, shaky self-image, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, depression, relieving traumas, family concerns, or a variety of other difficulties. You will understand yourself better, learn many coping strategies to grow, and experience a greater sense of well-being.

I am guided by Positive Psychology principles and follow a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy orientation in alleviating emotional distress. I, also, draw on all-tried techniques from Neuro-Linguistic Programming to speedily change any limiting beliefs, mobilize you to be in positive states, and through using powerful language, allow you to communicate better with yourself and others.

I have a positive attitude towards life. This will eventually rub off on you. You will gain more clarity, become more empowered, more in control, and more content. I totally respect your priorities, cultural background, religious faith, and life goals. You will learn that although life can be hard sometimes, it can definitely be made an enjoyable ride.
